SPEAKER BIOGRAPHIES:

Sharon Moore:

Ambitious as it may sound, I am here to make a difference. Where technology can help make that difference.

I am passionate about innovation that matters and applying it in the context of the challenges my clients face, such as mounting technical debt and ever-changing priorities as a result of macro events.

I am sought out, by clients and IBMers alike, for my expertise in defining technical strategy and translating the technical into business outcomes. You’ll often find me on stage (right now, solely the virtual one!), sharing technical thought leadership about the positive impact of intelligent automation, the opportunity of hybrid multi-cloud, the application of trending technology, and the wider picture of how to make innovation a reality in an organisation.

With extensive experience in the technology market since 2001, I have built up specialist knowledge in digital engagement, intelligent systems, systems integration and consulting, across a variety of industries including the public sector, health, travel and retail banking. I am also a Chartered IT Professional.

I am proud to lead the BCSWomen group in Scotland, supporting and inspiring women with their careers in technology. I also recently sat on the board of Scotland Women in Technology. I was awarded MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in June 2018.

Sandra De Zoysa:

Sandra is the Group Chief Customer Officer of Dialog Axiata, Chairperson of Digital Customer Experience Expert Working Group for Axiata and Director of Dialog Business Services. She is a founding member of SLASSCOM – the national IT/BPM chamber in Sri Lanka as well as its first female Chairperson.

Sandra’s experience spans over 30 years in the ICT Industry and has received multiple global awards for her thought leadership and contribution in the sphere of Customer Experience Management and Women in Leadership.

Gillian Arnold:

Managing Director of an IT Recruitment and Training company (Tectre Ltd) which is focused on supporting women in technical roles.

We help our clients with their positive action campaigns to attract more women into their technical professional positions.

I have a successful track record as a senior professional and manager within the IT Hardware and Software Industry and extensive experience within IBM in the UK, in roles such as IT Training, Technical Support, Marketing, Technical Management, Sales, Business Development and Market Strategy.

I also have a long term commitment to helping more women succeed in STEM professions. I spent 11 years as a Non-Executive Director for WISE encouraging women to take up and stay in careers in STEM industries. I also sit on the boards at the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and have previously chaired the BCSWomen Specialist Group.

I also have a chair role at CEPIS, the Council of European Informatics Societies, helping them to drive activity across their membership for women in IT. I was luck to be Winner of the 2012 Everywoman Inspiration of the year award in 2012 for my work with Women in IT through the BCS, the UKRC, Intellect and IBM UK, and I have been mentioned every year since then in the top Women in IT in the Computer Weekly Annual listing.
