SYNOPSIS

Project failure rates have improved in recent years, which is a good sign, however success rates still leave much to be desired. A survey from 2017 found that 31 per cent of all UK projects are currently at risk of failure. The potential loss of turnover that represents to British business is a massive £254.3 billion. The research indicates the key role that people-related factors play in achieving successful projects. Given that Psychology is about understanding the motivation and behaviour of people, it stands to reason that psychology must have something to offer to the discipline of project management.

In this webinar, Sharon De Mascia, Director of Cognoscenti Business Psychologists Ltd brings her experience of working in large-scale transformational projects and her expertise as a chartered occupational psychologist to offer you a psychological insight into:

Sharon De Mascia is the Director of Cognoscenti Business Psychologists Ltd. She is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, and a published author (https://www.amazon.es/Project-Psychology-Psychological-Techniques-Successful-ebook/dp/B0091Q7BYC) . She is a supervisor for the global MBA at Manchester Business School and lectures in project psychology at the University of Reykjavik.

Sharon is a Prince2 qualified, experienced project manager and an Executive coach. She also specialises in implementing evidence-based wellbeing initiatives. Her clients include Santander, Silver Spoon, NNHS Trusts, Houses of Parliament. National Education Union etc. She is the co-convenor of the British Psychological Society, ‘Psychology of Health and Wellbeing’ group and is a board member for the Manchester Camerata orchestra.
